1858 Canadian Large Penny in Extra Fine Condition. These were inherited from the Dominion of Canada at the time of Confederation.

The large cents produced in 1858 – 1859 for the Province of Canada were inherited by the Dominion of Canada government at the time of Confederation.
They were issued as Dominion cents. It took nearly ten years to use up the stock. The first cents struck for the Dominion did not come out until 1876.
Not sure of the actual mintage for 1858.
