1906 VG EL (Edwardian Leaves) Silver Canadian Half Dollar
A new obverse portrait design was engraved by DeDaultes and used from 1902 – 1910.
The word Canada moved from it’s former position at the bottom of the obverse to the reverse.
The Victorian leaves have long points that nearly touch the denticles. The Edwardian leaves have shorter, more curved points farther from the denticles.
Royal Mint issues (1902 – 1907) and Royal Canadian Mint (1908 – 1910) have no mint marks.
