1979 DD Brt Red Canadian Penny in BU condition

Brilliant Uncirculated 1979 “979” double date full red. Beautiful rare coin.
Many errors were discovered in the 1979 pennies.
Because of the rising price of copper, the Mint struck test tokens with a considerably reduced weight and diameter. These were eventually cancelled.
As part of the general standardization of the coinage, the portrait of the Queen was made smaller beginning with 1979.
