1944 MS62 Canadian Penny, Beautiful coin to add to anyone’s collection.
In the early part of 1937, the Royal Mint in London decided to speed up production of Canadian coins by having some minted in Paris, mainly the reverse of some coins.
The initial obverse of coins from 1937 to 1947 had the legend “ET IND:IMP” indicating that the King was the Emperor of India.
The obverse was designed by T.H. Paget and the reverse by G.E. Kruger-Gray.
Composition is .980 copper, .005 tin, .015 zinc
Mintage is 44,131,216
